spark plug number????
If possible, it needs to have the order for the coil pack and for the spark plugs and the orientation of each( i.e. front of truck, passengers side, drivers side, etc.)
Thanks guys
3-----------------------------6
2-----------------------------5
1-----------------------------4
passenger side<--------------->driver side
according to my haynes manual
for the distributorless ignition coil pack if you are standing facing the same way and look at it, this is the configuration for 1995-2008 3.0 v6 meaning the wires go from that spot on the coil pack to the corresponding cylinder
3 4
2 6
1 5
the firing sequence is 1-4-2-5-3-6
*in the 1997 ford powertrain/drivetrain manual i have, it states that certain wires will cross each other on their journey from the sparkplugs to the coilpack. this orientation must be maintained and you must always use wire separators.
this is to prevent inductive reactance "aka crossfire"
anytime you pass electricity through a wire it generates an electromagnetic field around itself, and when you have 2 similar wires close together running parrallel to each other they can have a tendency to **** each other off and cause misfires! if they cross each other along the way it counteracts this.
