I'm not a big fan of catering to site sponsors, but I don't see anything wrong with BakFlip posting replies to a subject that applies to their product. It may be blatant advertising, but that is what they pay the sponsorship fee for.
Last time I checked sponsors and advertising is what keep sites like this up and running for our use. Favoritism to sponsors has been almost non-existant during my stay here unlike some other forums I visit. Keep up the good work guys!
720Deere, IMO there is a big difference between a company posting an ad in the designated space on the site, and a user (who represents a company) posting it to a thread. *especially* when that user bashes other companies in the process.
While the threads he chose may be related to their product, the ads were about a facebook promotion, not saying "hey check out our product, it might fit your needs". That would be a different thing altogether. I stand by my opinion... bumping threads that are 2+ months old without providing any information and posting the exact same ad on multiple threads... very bad form. I, for one, will never do business with a company that uses those tactics. To recycle one of their own terms, it is "tantamount to" SPAM.
Well I ended up installing the Extang Express tonneau cover and it fits my truck perfectly. I still load bikes behind my 5th wheel hitch near the cab of truck so a tri fold hard cover would not work for me. My 5th wheel does not have a bumper and I dont like the ladder bike racks.
