can any one quide me on the removal process i have my mazda 5 speed down but can bot come across on how to remove the slave cylinder. any thoughts? please in needof help
Has anyone replaced the guide bearing from the cranckshaft, mine is shot and all I have been able to get out is the inner side of the bearing, any ideas will help guys?
Talking about the pilot bearing? If so, go to an auto parts store. They usually have a slide hammer and pilot bearing removal tool that attaches to it. Then you just rip that bad boy out Did you get the slave cylinder off?
If you pack the recess inside the pilot bushing with grease you can press it out with a bolt that is the same size as the inner diameter of the pilot. hack off the threads and hammer it into the grease it will eventually push out the bushing. This doesn't work at all as well the slide hammer but if that is what you have to do, it will work. If your replacing the clutch you should probably pull the flywheel and have it resurfaced. It is much easier to hammer the bushing from the engine side of the flywheel when it is on your tailgate or table.
I have never pulled a mazda tranny but for every other one I have done, if you make some dowel pins it really helps when your lining up the tranny for install.
other question, how do I remove the locking pin from the clutch hydaulic line on the master cylinder I'm using a marking tool or an (awl) 1/16 is that to thick?

That didn't work when I did mine.... I had to barrow a puller that pushed on the back of the crank, and pulled on the bearing. and it still almost didn't come.
