Hey All, I just purchased a 1999 F350 and the power door locks don't seem to be working in the truck. I am wondering if there are bad motors, however they do work occasionally which leads me to believe there is another issue. Is there something that would keep these from working intermitently or should I be getting new motors.

Oh, and the batteries in the remote are good. Any ideas?

 

YOu can take apart the actuator, and put tin foil in to make it work. I saw a procedure on Diesel stop forum. Do a search and you will find!
It worked good for me. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.

Im having the same problem, However I do not have remotes. Its like mine have to charge up to work. They will work sometimes, more times not that so. and when you push the button its like they try real hard and you hit the button again and the power is weaker and then they will not do anything. You wait a liitle while and they will do the same thing again??

 

They get hot inside and get weaker. An actuator is about 80 bucks, Foil is free.
