IE8 Question

Hi,

Being abnormally retentive, I delete my browsing history when I close windows
(manually and automatically).

On IE8, the delete item changes menus. Sometimes it's under tools and sometimes it's under safety.

Does anyone know what causes this goofy behavior? ( besides that it's from Microsloth) And no, I don't want to change browsers

Thanks,

hj

Why not just have it delete history on exit, or is that what your meant when saying "automatically."

Not sure what your asking about..

What do you mean the delete item changes menus??

What does it change from??

Can you get a screen shot and post it??

If you don't know how to print screen, just do this..

When the item shows on the screen taht you want to print.
Hold down the Ctrl key and press the Prt Scr button on your upper right keyboard..

That takes a copy of your screen..

Open any graphics program.. Ex. Paint, Photoshop,.. Etc..

Paste the screen into that program.

Then you can save it and post it..

I find the menu option under TOOLS in the menu bar, and under SAFETY in the command bar. So maybe it is not moving, just available in multiple places. But the easiest is CTRL-SHIFT-DEL from anywhere.

you could always use InPrivate browsing... no info is retained after the window is closed..

OK, I figured it out. It's still dumb.

I have TWO tools menus. One has the delete browsing ...., and one does not. (They share some of the same options)

This is a new development with IE8, and probably a result of some stupid thing that I did.
