Hi all. I just bought a 78 F250 with a 400, and am trying to get it running right. The PO had set the timing at 37 degrees, ant the carb settings were all over the map. I re-built the carb, & re-set the timing to spec.
Now, the truck runs a lot better, but is still rich. I have the mixture screws set at 1 turn out, and am wondering if the PO might have changed the jets... Where can I find out what jets should be in the carb, & where can I source replacements if needed?
Also, I assume the jets are marked? I didn't think to look when I had the carb apart... I will look as soon as I know what should be there.
P.S. I am at sea level in Vancouver, BC if that makes any difference.
