People love to brag about MPG, I don't. Without that trailer behind my 5er you see in the picture I'll get 10mpg but I drive 70mph. Any less speed (RPM) then I always need to get out of OD and shifting all the time my MPG will actually go down. Seventy is just a 'sweet spot' power range for my 4:10 gears. By the way, nice picture! What is that 'Teshonka P3 brake controller'?
I was told that my truck gets 22 MPG when I bought it. My friend had 265 75 16's on it so I don't know if he factored that in.
I put 285 75 16's on the truck the day I got it, they are the more aggresive BFG KM/2's. They actually ride real smooth.
I have not figured out my exact MPG's yet because I keep topping off thanks like the zombie apocalypse is about to happen, That and I live out in the hills, away from town.
I'm not sure on the 35, what rpm's you turning at a certain speed? 60 with 4.10's and 285's is probably around 1800 in 5th? Mine with 3.55's and 265's with the auto at 75 is 2050.
I'll check out my 60 MPH = RPM dealio today. Have to make another run to town..
So on the way to town I checked it at 60 MPH, I got 2K to 2.5K on the RPM gauge. I got to town and crawled under the truck and the service tag is still there with a 4.10 and some other #'s. I don't think I have posi the way I was slipping in the backcountry. (wondering about posi)
