ok, have no clue what they are called...but the spring nuts they use for attaching the front fender to the inner panels...they slip in a square hole and are held with a clip but are threaded , i know most will know what it is if you have ever taken the front fender off...it is the nuts that rust off and you cant get the bolt out...lol they are all one peice made from spring steel and have the threads comming off them on one side....need help identifying them so i can order more of these monsters....thanks
I know what you are talking about but not sure about the proper name. Captured nuts maybe? When I bought a new grill shell from LMC I also bought the hardware kit and all of thoses pieces where included.
U-nuts or J-Nuts.... Lowe's carries them if you need a few.
I have a small bucket of spare u-nuts and bolts as a result of my wrecking yard hunts. Other things I grab a plastic clips, carb return springs, engine block tags, wire loom clips on the valve covers, carb return springs, interior trim screws, sill plate screws, convoluted tubing clamps from GM F-bodies, wiper and headlight ***** and good switches.
