I see no real problem, but it's hard to say for sure because I have never personally ran them. The best way to figure it out is to jack your truck up, remove one of the wheels and do some measuring with the specs you have for the wheel. You did not give us the width of the wheel you are looking for, so it is hard to know if they will fit or not. If they are 16x8 with a 4.5" back spacing, they might work, the thing to watch for is a 265/75R16 is a fairly decent size tire, they will measure between 31" and 32" tall depending on the brand and tread left on the tire.
The wheels are 16x8, the tires are goodyear wranglers. I had them on my bronco and wanted something more aggressive. They only have at most 1,500 miles on them. I was hoping to save some cash since I already have these paid for
I know the 31x10.5x15 tires I have on the bronco now will swap over but the goodyears are about a inch taller sitting side by side.
If they are 1" taller when sitting side by side, they will only take up an extra 1/2" of the wheelwell as the 1" will get split because they are mounted from the middle. I would say they would fit just fine if the 31-10.50R15's fit with a little extra room to spare. A 265/75R16 equals about a 32x10.50R16.
Yes , they will fit. I have a set of 31"x10.5"r15 goodyear A/T tires on my 79 F100 2wd, all stock, and mounted on the stock steel wheels. the only problem i have had is when the wheel is turned fully to the right(maybe left, i forget) it slightly rubs a little. Besides that, no problems.
