Water leak

I've got a pesky, recurring water leak in my 80' F-100,302. I recently replaced water pump and thermostat but sometimes it will spray a fine mist from somewhere near the block.Looks as if it's coming from the top of the timing chain cover but that can't be,also, there's no water in the oil.Intake manifold gasket maybe?

the timing cover gasket can leak externally and not into the oil.
