Hi eveyone, Im getting ready to do a plug change on my 2007 f 150 5.4, it has 90,000 miles. They have already been changed once by the dealer at 40,000. since the dealer did it under warranty, i really had to rant but they did, they would only do with the motorcraft plug. so i am still a little worried and hope they used anti-seize. My question is should i go with the champion plug, i also heard Brisk makes one too and that they do have the heat range for it now. any ideas on which would be better and any problems from guys who have used either of these, thanks in advance.
Depends on how long you want to keep the truck and if you are going to change plugs in the future. I prefer to keep my stuff stock, but on my 04, I put the Champions in only because I'm keeping it forever. So far, so good. Really depends on what you like.
I don't believe the MC plugs, new or old, for the old style(2004-2008) 3V heads are one piece. They allegedly have been slightly redesigned to lessen the possibility of sticking and subsequently separating upon removal. In any event, I went with the Champions and thus far have no complaints. I will continue to update this forum on my Champion experiences whether they be good or bad.

HYPO
MC Part Number: 12405 (SP-507)- While I should say not a 1 piece but welded. Completely redesigned plug. E3's version withstood 200+ lbs of torque without failing, held in a vice, as reported in another forum. Yes, the test is unscientific, but look very closely, in person at the new plug, it is very well engineered imho.
