i decided i would like to go with a t18 (one that has the granny low) that way i can go with a highway friendly rear end, yet still have a usable first gear.
problem is my truck came with a c6.
i love my truck but i prefer stick over automatic, and i have way too much into it to just find another truck that already came with a stick from the factory.
these seem hard to find anyway as most have 3 on the tree.
i would need to get the bellhousing, clutch pedal....all that stuff.
i have been saving my money to be able to do this, and soon i will have the time as well, but i have no clue where to find all of that stuff.
i have found some transmissions for sale online, but no bellhousings for them or clutch, or any of the other stuff i would need.
I don't know about NJ but everything you need out West is at your local Pull-n-Save. Or pick up a cheap 4-speed pickup, swap the trannys between the two, then sell the other truck. My buddy just did this with a Bronco and actually made money on the deal.
to find the bellhousing, clutch and all the other stuff you need try LMCtruck.com you will most likly be able to order them there but if you are looking for cheap than you might want to try to find them in a local salvage yard first
