What is this?
My cousin just bought a new house and I found what looks like a 9" rear end in his back yard, I don’t have the measurements with me I'll post them tomorrow but the drain plug is on the back of it not in the 3rd member, the shock mounts are on the inside of the spring perches and the drums are very narrow. Does anyone know what this is?

'65 and earlier 9" did indeed have the fill plug in the housing and not the 3rd member. If it is a spring over setup then it may be an Early Econoline 9". They came in the Heavy Duty and 240 cid Econolines.
