Hello , I have a 03 6L Ford F350 and for the most part trouble free
anyway lately I have been getting a clicking noise that sounds like a relay clicking under my dash when my truck is running even when its just idling
I don't always get it but it has become more common that last few weeks. So i stuck my head under the dash and it sounds like it coming from that little black box's that is attached at the base of the gas pedal ? could be coming from fuse box cause that what i was going to go after but doesn't sound like it, SO what is the little back box for on base of gas pedal
>?
i felt around look to feel the clicking i hear , but no luck. was reading another treat were someone said there glow plug controller was making a clicking noise. were is this located at so i can unplug mine after start up to see if it goes away
Yea it will all still work the same. The noise comes from just to the right of the stearing colum under the dash. I could not figure out what was wrong took it to the dealer and they charged me 350 for repairs part was only 135 i think
i just swamped around the 12 volt relays in the fuse box and started truck and had to move a trailer in the yard.. did hear anything. but will know tomarrow
plus I had the passager side seat fuse out and put it back in. didnt know maybe by having it was causing something else that feeds off of it other than seat ?
Need help iding this item its bigger than a regualr relay , but its clicking alot even when truck is off but key is on.
sounds like a relay what is it. it is right behind the AC controls in the dash but lower not far off the floor board area
