Tax Break...
Tax Break...
I heard that Chevy(ObamaMotors) just got a huge tax break! Maybe $46billion dollars. Kinda hard for the other car companies to be competetive! The government is calling for all kinds of new gas mileage limits for down the road,. Those tax dollars eat up a lot of R&D dollars! The consumer also wants the best mileage possible for their situation and circumstances and this is what should be driving the new regulations. So many times the time to meet the new regulations is unreasonable and the results are a diaster! We can all think of at least one or two automobiles that looked good on paper but were clearly underpowered, over enginered rolling disasters. The gas to diesel engines from GM comes to mind right away. Maybe we can list a bunch more of these rolling disasters...
Got me there BN
thought your thread title was about the $25k business tax credit for vehicle purchases that will run out this year...
but now that I read it... you are looking for rolling disasters ?
How about the Obamination rolling to India, etc when "everyone has to tighten their belts"
or seriously folk... how about the Gooberment Motors Corporation's e85 engines ?

yep yep, i just fought with the Govm't Motors about my pontiac van so called "warranty"! long story short they won't repair a TSB that was issued back in 2006, that specifically states that it's a common problem, and is repairable by a simple re-flash of the PCM, BUT the GM warranty doesn't cover the "LABOR" to do so...... so the flash program is FREE, but it's $120 to do it. next was the $18 part that was going to be $200+ in labor..... EVAP vent solenoid has a intermittent faulty (it's kinda working, and kinda not at some times)..... oh yea the "PART" is covered by warranty (cost at the dealer $70, cost threw my work at another contracted gm dealer $18, go figure), but the $200+ dollars in labor IS NOT COVERED.......
SO either give O-Bummer Motors my $300 or buy the $18 vent solenoid threw another GM dealer and install it myself...... hhhmmmm
and as for the PCM re-flash, yea same contracted GM dealer where the part is $18, send them my PCM, for $25 they'll put the re-flash in........WOW
by the way any one wanna buy a van...... can't complain about the flawless 47K we've put on it, and it has a transferable "warranty", and this is the first issue in 47K, but i'd rather spend the extra money and convert to the BLUE OVAL!!
