Has any one put a v6 into a 48-52 ford pickup f1? I would like to have a t5 along with a 8 0r 9 inch rear. I have a flathead now but I am looking at my options to have a dependable driver with not breaking the bank for a little
go go.Any input would be great thanks George
Better options with a 5L V8 engine.
The earlier 4.2 had issues with the intake isolator bolts, the seals would fail and hydrolock the engine. Supposed to be fixed in the later models, but my 2003 needed this repair.
A V8 has infinitely more upgrades available than a V6 and the results are better.
You will be happiest with a Ford V8 in your old Ford truck.
