Well, do you hate water leaks? If so then make sure the the water outlet positions on the block are clean of gasket and oils. Scrape and lacquer thinner. When I put on the gasket I use 3M Super weatherstrip adhesive. Black or yellow doesn't matter. A line around the block face and a line around the gasket, let it tack and put in place. Then the same to the other side of the gasket and the water pump flanges. Also around the bolt holes. For bolts that go into the water jacket I use ARP thread sealant after cleaning bolts and chasing threads in the block. A FE is a piece of cake to do when you get down to it so should be no problem. Compare this to my Polara where water came out of bolt holes I didn't expect. Yet no leaks once it was filled back up. Oh, in case you wonder how to remove the adhesive, 3M sells a can of remover which does work.
