This is what I mean by being able to tell what's gong on. My old degas got a faint bathtub ring of oil from an oil cooler leak. Had I had this nice clean degas bottle then I would have caught it sooner. The old one was almost opaque and the leak wasn't noticed for awhile. Now 5k miles after the oil cooler R&R no trace of oil in the coolant.
Wow. That does look good. I've always hated the dingy color of my original stock one. But I have learned not to fix it unless its broken.... Or unless its an upgrade haha.
My dealer wanted $125 - so Ed was 1/2 price. Ed rocks! If you consider that this bottle is mission critical - if it busts open on the freeway, you're pretty much hosed, I'd go new. Mine had large stress cracks around the top and I was happy to put a nice new and pretty one in there and cross that off my 'might fail' list.
