Broken Degas bottle

I was changing the fuel filter this morning and leaned on the degas bottle...broke off the nipple for the small degas bottle hose. Does anyone have a part number? Or know a good fix?

No good way to repair broken plastic.
Just have to get a new bottle.
Tried to find a part number for you but no joy.

Not a clue, I tried to find one on Ed's website, but no success.
If you can wait for the part to be shipped to you he can fix you up and with a good price, too.
He's a sponsor here and I've bought a few things from him, including a rebuilt 7.3 for my F-550.

If you call Parts Guy Ed, you should be able to get it for around $60, your local stealer will probably want more like $80.

Yeah, Ed has them and I think they are like $55. E-mail him and he can help you.

AvionTech,

I have a used spare off my own truck. Never leaked. It's yours for the cost of shipping. Send PM if interested.

Thanks for the offers, part numbers and Ed I would buy it from you ( I don't want your kids to go hungry either) but I need it Monday, and found it locally. This is a great site!

I am on my second degas bottle and am thinking of having a local rad shop fab one out of aluminum. He used to fab aluminum rads for race cars, but China put him out of business. He said that winter is slow and he might be interested,
Have any of you guys heard of anyone fab'ing one from aluminum?
Interesting.

The reason I put in a new one was to be able to the check the level and color at a glance. You can see through a new one a whole lot better then an old one. I run the ELC and it would be easy to tell whether there is oil or fuel in the degas bottle. Plus shining a light behind it sure helps. These checks would be a bit more difficult if it were aluminum. I'll stick to "OEM BABY".
