I think a good aluminum factory wheel with the center cap is worth $80 apiece. It all depends what you want, but maybe you can negotiate down a bit since the tires are worn out. If you do end up getting them, be sure to post up pictures on the gooseneck
You have a sharp eye megawatt00. They are single (SRW) wheels. They have a "similar appearance" to my truck (as pictured in sig) with duals. My GN is a two axle, single tire trailer, not dually.
Is the lug pattern the same for SRW and DRW trucks? I think it is.
My extra dually lug pattern does not mount on the GN. I used an older wheel last time to (incorrectly) verify.
It may be time for me to forget about this set of wheels.
'06 rims are a different offset from the 99-04's, and are gonna need adapters.
David,
Though I already have a complete spare set of Lariat rims (that's what's pictured in the Craigslist ad), If I were close, and didn't have a set, I'd grab those rims and caps for $250, tires or not.
The only way you will use these on a trailer is:
New, custom-built hubs;
Adapters;
Re-drill the rims.
Though a nice touch to add to the trailer, it doesn't seem very practical unless there's a bottomless pit of funding available. If you had a SRW, the spare commonality might be attractive. The weight you can put on LT265-75-R16's load range E tires might also be.
I've found the best reason to have a spare set of rims is to be able to CAREFULLY clean them both inside and out (stored without tires), especially the bead area, and to inspect them carefully for any sign of developing flaws. I find that fine ScotchBrite works well for this. This enables new tires to be mounted on flawless beads and ensures against even minute bead leaks. Since these rims need special, high-pressure stems, I take the rims to the tire shop without them, and look carefully for the correct ones to be installed when mounting new.
I get my old rims back from the tire shop without tires, ready to repeat the cycle.
