broken down on the interstate!
i think i got a bad tank of fuel. i have a spare filter im going to put on right now, but is there anything else i can do?
symptoms include no power, sluggish, rough idle and harder to start. it will only go about 40mph now. i put a thing of gas line anti freezein the tank too but its getting worse.

Does your water in fuel light come on? First thing I'd do is drain the fuel bowl into a jar and see if it's diesel or if it has a bunch of water in it. Also give it the sniff test and make sure it doesn't smell like gasoline.
If you pumped a bunch of trash in the tank, you might have plugged the screens inside the mixing chamber in the tank. When you get through this ordeal, look into the in tank mods to prevent this from happening.
Open the fuel bowl drain valve and turn the key on. How strong is the stream coming out the drain tube? Is it a strong spray under pressure that splashes, or just a stream of fuel? (check within 20 seconds of turning the key on)

Thanks for the help guys! I haven't been able to get near the internet since I posted that.
I changed the filter and within 5-10 miles the truck was running good as new again.
I made it to georgia and back (I live near detroit, mi) and made it home with my new enclosed trailer.
330,000 miles and still going strong!
