1972 f100 vin number decode, please
i just purchased a 1972 f100 and want to know what the vin number says. also, does anyone know if and how you can find out the title history on this truck?

Model Year: 72
Series: F100 - 4x2 Pickup
Engine: 8 Cyl, 360ci, 2bbl
Assembly Plant: San Jose
Transmission: G means automatic only, yours is a C6
Rear Axle: 3.50 Limited Slip, 3600lb Ford WFF
The consecutive unit number tells the month and year of manufacture, I'll have to look this up at home tonight unless someone posts sooner.

BBB, I guess I should as you the same question since you are being nice enough to give out the information:

I did go to that one site that list the history of the vehicle and it said my VIN number did not exist, haha. I guess the truck is too old? Thanks for you help in advance.
