Ok, here's my issue: I have a 1994 F-150 with a 300ci engine, and a E4OD transmission.
I have replaced the radiator, fan clutch, upper and lower radiator hoses, 195 * Thermostat, new belt.....
The only thing left to replace is the Water Pump in particular, yet when I drive 60+ mph consistantly, the temperature hand raises from the N or the O in NORMAL to the A or the L.
It never goes any farther, just is hard to get it to lower back down.....Also I need a fan shroud, as mine exploded....literally, it cracked and fell into the fan, therefore being obliterated and scaring the crap outta me....
It's not uncommon for the impeller to disintegrate or fail..... A fan shroud will definitely help your cause though.....Also, might want to try replacing your radiator cap if you haven't already. Stock is 13 PSI.
Make sure that your serp. belt is routed correctly ( not likely, but possible) FWIW, I've experienced the water pump impeller failure and it mimicked your symptoms. Get a good one from Ford and swap it out...chances are that's the problems....

would like to add, that the 300 with an auto tranny has classically has a little bit of trouble staying cool. If i end up with a truck that has that combo, I'll probably be looking for a larger radiator. Since you've already bought a new radiator, I guess I'd go with replacing what you know is broken.
Save yourself the trouble and get a fan shroud first. They make those and put them on for a reason. I have seen some major cooling issues after someone takes them off a vehicle.
I bet its the water pump. And id expect it to start leaking before long. There is a thin metal plate riveted on the impeller and it often begins to separate causing a low flow issue. Soon the excess heat and vibration will cause it to completely fail.
When my went, it only leaked after the truck was shut off. So i would leave it running all day as i went from job site to job site. Then i had to stop for gas and shut it off and the cop filling up next to me was like "woah, your truck is pouring something for under the front of it". I was like, "oh, yeah haha, thanks ."
Thank you all for the input...I am going to replace the waterpump ASAP, and that should take care of the issue.....At least until I get the opportunity to slide a crate engine in there.....Any ideas where I can get a nicely finished 302 w/ Fuel Injection?.....Cheapest I've seen so far is like $3600....

Try Rhino rebuilders...a friend of mine got one for his Mustang thru them...really helpful and good prices. Wait until you see the container that they ship it to you in...you'll never want to get rid of it! I'm pretty sure they're based in Arkansas...
