same as mine, probably a hole in the dpf, doesn't seem to have any adverse effects.

Taking truck in for warranty work rear end seal leaking I did not know if I should have them look @ this problem.

mine seems to regen a little less since this happened (about every 400 miles) so that's a good thing but it's not saving me that much fuel so I guess it's up to you. I personally don't mind a little black smoke.
