I have a 78 F700 standard cab it is an ex propane delivery truck. The tank has been removed.. It has a propane powered 361 v8,clark 5 speed trans and 2spd rear. hydro vac brakes..The body is in pretty good shape. It has no visable rust holes anywhere. It has a chrome plated grille that has no dents but is starting to rust. It has no dents in the fenders. I have receipts where it had new king pins and all bushings replaced, New brake pads and wheel cyl replaced in 2000. The truck was used to haul pulp wood from 99 to 04. It not been used much since then. It runs and drives good. the guages don't work sometimes and the windshield is cracked. It also needs tires..I'm considering selling it but I don't know what would it be worth.. Any ideas what would be a fair selling price. I'm not looking to get rich but its too good of a truck to scrap.. Thanks
Well depends on where you live out here those are very common trucks and I don't see many over 2K tops. But it sounds like a good truck so put it up for 3k and take 2500.00 for it.
I live in Ga. I see a lot of f600s but not a lot of 700s My friend bought it from the original owner. I have a copy of the original title but, in Ga when you do a title transfer on a pre 1985 vehicle they do not issue a new title because it is not necessary. Honestly if it had new tires, some paint, and a windshield it would be a nice truck.. I just found this forum and thought somebody might want it for a restoration project or a donor truck for obsolete parts.. I really have no need for it and dont want it to go to waste. Would $1,800 be a fair deal?
