I been wanting to re paint my interior, I tried some of the rustolium and duplicolor interior paint and on the arm rests it only lasted a day. Anyways I really want a darker tan, like the tan from the Eddie Bauer edition trucks. Are more colors available for out trucks?
I am going to go pick up some Eddie Bauer door panels tomorrow, if there still at the junkyard.
I wouldn't paint or dye any areas that get touched on a regular basis, like armrests, steering wheel, or seats unless you would want to do it again every now and then. For interior plastics, it's best to use an interior dye/paint that is specifically made for that.
I used a duplicolor spray, with interior primer, and it is holding well on a center console I did. I scuffed it up very lightly with steel wool to help it hold also. I wouldnt use regular spray paint, as it will come off pretty quickly. The plastics need to be able to flex. I've seen cars in the junkyard people tried customizing with regular spray paint, and the paint was flaking and cracked.
and yet again it depends on the paint u use and the work u put into it... my door handles are holding up great.... still glossy black same with the speaker grills
