Two weeks ago, I was driving down the road and my truck shut off for no reason, and lights on dashboard came on. I hit the hazzard lights quickly and luckily no one was behind me. I was able to start the truck back up after a couple tries, but this could have caused a major accident. I took it to the Truck Service Center and they found nothing wrong, this was checked on a Thursday. The next Saturday, I was sitting at a light, the engine shut off again, the oil light came on. So then, a friend was doing research on complaints, and I was amazed at all of these incidents. I will be going back to Ford.
I just had the same problem with my 2010 F150 yesterday. At a traffic light then the low oil pressure indicator turns on followed by the wrench symbol, then the oil pressure gauge falls to zero, then stall. Managed to get it started after 2 attempts and drove to the nearest Ford dealership. Fortunately, the same thing happened to them but there were not error codes found in the computer. After lots of head scratching Ford told them to replace the Mass Air Sensor. We'll see, I am picking it up later today.
just wondering if you're problem was fixed. I have a 2010 expedition and the same thing is happening
Hi there. So I see lots of ppl having this problem. Does anyone know how to fix this??? It's giving me no codes so I don't know why it does this,
thanks
So i learned that the canister purge valve can be the problem. I watched a video on YouTube on how to test a faulty purge valve. I changed the valve my self it's really simple and drove about 20 miles and the engine light turned off and the truck drove a lot smoother to after that too. Here is a the link hope it helps!!
