Diesel advice
As a newcomer to diesel I need some help. 1993 F350. Does the IDI have a computer, as I see upgrade chips advertised for newer models? Whats the deal with glowplug points breaking off in the cylinder. It seems common and expensive to repair. Is there some way to avoid the problem?

Diesel advice
before my 02 stroker i had a 93 non-turbo. As far as i ever found there are no chips available. I had over 200,000 miles on it and never had a glow plug break off in the cylinder. Only problem like that was the injectors coming apart while removing them. For more power i had a true-dual exhaust installed and noticed quite a bit more throttle response. I also had a k&n filter. If you have the money banks has there turbo kit---but 3 grand was too much for me
