i am in the middle of rebuilidng my zf s547 and cant track down a couple of parts i need. first is the shifter boot... not the boot that you see in the cab but the boot that actually seals the elements from the shifter housing. mine is all tore up and would like to replace it before putting it all back together.
also i need the two rubber sleeves that go on the 4x4 shifter. the shifter mechanism has some nasty grease and i want to put new boots on it after i clean it up and add fresh, new grease.
I ordered all of that from LMC for my sons truck last year. You really need that white shifter boot unless you like a lot of noise in the cab. I was about to order one for my truck too. They still show them in the catalog.
The white boot your talking about comes with the whole shifter boot assembly that screws to the floor. I just had to get a new one and it all came together. Screws and all. I didn't get the boot that the OP is needing though. I'm sure LMC has them though. How about PartsGuyEd???
hopefully to help out someones future search i have the exact part numbers from ZF. the boot i am referring to is part number 1317 306 014 found in the Shift lever Stub assembly. motive gear sells them but dang they are pricey at $50. but it will help keep dirt and gunk from entering the top of the transmission. expensive but cheap insurance all at once!
