93 ranger problems
Hey I have a 93 ranger with a 4.0 in the shop I work at that is driving us nuts. The syptoms are one bank rich and the other lean. It came in with o2 codes we replaced the o2s and it didn't help. We have tried a new mass air with no change. So we put the old one back on. We cleaned the throttle body and iac. We have tried a different computer and that made no change.
Took a gas sample its all fine. It has a full tune up. This truck seems to have a mind of its own. It runs great for a bit then as it warms up runs rough. Watching the data on the o2 sensors it doesn't switch like it should rich to lean. The codes them self are for both rich and lean.
Also the exhuast isn't plugged it has proper fuel pressure.
We are kinda at a loss at this one. We have tried most every thing we can think of. we were wondering about the upper intake gasket possibly having a leak causing all our head ache. Just don't want to throw parts that we can't easy box up and return.
Any ideas that would help would be appreciated.
