I am hoping one of you can help me. I have a 2008 ranger 3000 diesel. I have about 70000miles on the truck and the service plan has expired. I would like to start looking after the truck myself but I am not sure what to do when and so on.
Can someone maybe refer me to some books or information that I can use to tell me what to do when and what look for. I am scared I might bugger up by not maintaining the turbo or something like that.
Most the members here are in the US where diesel Rangers are virtually non-existent. My main thing to be aware of is, replace the oil at the specified intervals and with the specified oil. Don't use any additives or change the viscosity. Diesels are in general fairly low maintenance.
The Ford web site has the info you need. Here in the U.S., this is where you would get the maintenance schedule: Maintaining Your Vehicle - Ford
Since you are in a different [unspecified] country, you'd probably need to go to the Ford site that services that [unspecified] country, since we don't have diesel Rangers here and it probably wouldn't be listed at the above link.
Hope this helps you find the info you're looking for.
Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate the info I will look into it and see what I can find. By the way I forgot to mention this I am from South Africa.
