Flatbed!!

I’m sick of repairing the truck bed on my 83 f150. How hard would it be to make a wood and steel combo flatbed for my pickup. Pictures would be greatly appreciated. I want a flatbed but I don’t wanna make my truck look retarded at the same time

Are you saying your stock bed is very rusty, or rusts a lot? How do you use your truck or how do you intend to (if it's currently not on the road)? What do you haul and how often? I have regular trucks and have a homemade flatbed, and can share info (and I've owned one el camino), so depending on your anticipated use, can hopefully advise? I'm guessing yours has dual tanks and is SWB? How important is rear bumper to you?
