I'm new to the site and have recently purchased a 66 f100 in Townsville, Australia. I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with the details of the Vehicle / motor which is fitted as I am unsure. I managed to find the chassis no and 2 numbers on the motor (1 above the starter and 1 at the rear in the valley:
chassis- AK1JFJ18681
above starter- 01ZM-6015-AA
valley- JG37LT13692K
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry, there is no way to decode any of this information. You'll have to go to a local dealer as this info is decoded from Ford truck parts catalogs (except the block casting number).
The parts catalogs and Warranty/Rating Plate codes / VIN (Vehicle ID Number) used in the US (1966/68 Canada) are not the same as used "Down Under" or any place else on the planet.
The only thing I recognize is the basic casting number for the engine block: 6015
chassis- AK1JFJ18681
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am going to guess that this will also match the tag on the door, if you have one. Does your truck have a V8 or and I6 under the hood? Sorry not to be able to help, but welcome aboard!

Ok, thanks I'll get onto it... I thought this might be the case. It believe it is a v8 Windsor because it looks like it may be A 60 degree v.. But am unsure of capacity at this stage. Thanks for your help
