i've got the chance to buy a 2005 F150 with the 5.4 and a regular cab with the 4D, any advantages or disadvantages to this vehicle? i was looking for a supercab, but this truck is at a good price, i'm 18 so a supercab isn't nessecary but could be nice. let me know your opinions, thanks
Hey, I thought along the same lines, I wanted just a regular cab. I didn't want to be the village taxi cab and I thing a regular cab truck is a much better looking truck. However, at 32 years old and single, I bought my first new truck and it was a super cab. The major reason being that side by side comparisons of price and features that I desired I found more available in a supercab. Although I'm not certain, I think there are many more super cabs built, with a larger variety of options. I bought my truck at Portsmouth Ford in NH, it was about a five hour drive from where I live in NJ but well worth it. They are the bigest dealership in the northeast. Anyway getting back to the point. About a year after I bought the truck I met some friends in NYC for a birthday celebration. At the end of the night they were all going home and I was able to give five of the people at the party a ride home. I ended up with me and my good friend in the front with a small lady in the middle of us and three people in the back. Long story short I am now engaged to that little lady that sat in the front and I am so glad I got the super cab.
I have a supercab and the only negative is that it is a pain in the butt to get in or out of the back seat in a place like a parking lot where you have cars parked next to you.
