Here is a pic of the fuel filler behind the taillight for those interested.
My aluminum fuel tank was built by a friend of mine so I can't help with what kind of tank to put in but the fuel filler works great. I haven't ever used the vapor recovery nozzles that I think you have in California so I'm not sure about getting into the pocket with the large nozzle. I do have an extension to fit the nozzle that is supposed to work.
gangstakr, I have aquired a 4'6L DOHC engine and trans to transplant into my truck. Maybe by next F100 Western Nationals it will be installed.

Reason: Too many posts
Haha! Thanks for all the great info and ideas and photos! Having grown up in rural Manitoba during the 50's and 60's, I know that the safest thing there is to driving is having both hands in front of you, both feet below you, both eyes on the road, and both your wits about you...now, in Vancouver, things are different. The streets here are like a bad video game, hence my daughter's concern - and mine - about safety. I agree that the tank behind the seat in itself is not unsafe, just a bit alarming to today's youth (who will probably never enjoy, let alone think about, doing donuts down the Transcanada highway on an icy day AND without even spilling their beer, not that I ever did such a thing myself, of course, I just heard about it, eh?).
kstones63 - what a great solution! Also addresses another minor issue, which is the unlocked gas tank on my M250 - on the other hand, maybe nobody under 50 knows how to siphon gas anymore!

I bet no one under 50 knows what a Arkansas credit card is ?
