Hey guys, long time reader, but this is my first post. Im going to get around to making an introduction post sometime soon, hopefully when I get my new truck. To make a long story short I racked up my 02' Ranger and its time to upgrade. I'm in the market for a 93-97 250 or a 350 4x4. Have a couple in mind locally and I've been glued to craigslist for the last two weeks on the hunt. I need to know what I should keep an eye out for when I go to look at these trucks, specifically things for these years ect. I know about the rear fender rust issues, but what other issues should I be looking for? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Check for rusted spring hangers, radius arm bushing brackets, cab supports and the radiator support. Check for rear main seal and oil pan leaks.

No radius arms on a F250/350-otherwise good advice.
I'd look at the rust issues mentioned above, but also for things like butt connectors on wires, coat hanger exhaust hangers, look underneath for evidence of long time leaks from, engine, trans, transfer case, and differentials. Whenever I've bought a truck like this, it's been butchered & neglected in many more ways not evident from first inspection. Engine should start without a lot of cranking, idle smoothly, etc. Feel the engine before you start it to make sure he hasn't warmed it up before you get there. Look in the radiator & look at how nasty the antifreeze looks. That's another good indicator of neglect. They all change the oil & filter before selling, so pay that no mind. Good hunting.
