Handy Behind the Seat Organizer

Found this behind the seat organizer at the junkyard for $8. Was in great shape but came out of the dirtiest, nastiest 70's Chevy I've ever seen so it needed some cleaning. Anyways, can keep a ton of stuff in it, makes the standard cab a lot less cluttered. Highly recommended.

Great idea, I'm planning on hitting a local yard here this week and now have a reason to look at other trucks!

Dude, there's something wrong-where's the shotgun shells? They're missing.

NPD has them. They run about $80 without the locking compartment, and $120 with the locking compartment.

There really cool storage compartments behind the seat. I bought one from the dealer when I bought my '86 f-250 for $95 back then. Mine has a door that opens toward the seat with a lock. I think it was made by Outers. I took it out when I sold it and it was laying around until I put it in my '84 F-150.

Bought one for a buck a few years ago at an auction... It is behind the back seat in the 92.

Go to the local pick n pull and check behind the seats, they are more common than you think. This is the 2nd one I've found and the day I found this one I found another one that was home made out of wood.

The shotgun shells are usually in the pockets of the seat cover.

They're in the shotgun where they're supposed to be!

Great topic even if it is a little dated. I'm looking for something behind my rear seat and this looks like a good idea!

I've got one similar in mine. Shelves in the middle with galloin jug sized cavities on the ends. Ive contemplated pulling it out now that I have a tool box, but the PO put it in with sheet metal screws through the back wall of the cab. That'll have to wait until I pull the bed off for paint so I can tack the holes shut with the wire welder.

Does anyone know the actual dimensions of the space behind the seat? Im buying an 86 f250 in a few days and im thinking of making my own. It currently has a cheap plastic one back there.

Sunny,

Does the cheap plastic one fill the space? If so, use it as a pattern.
