so for once in my life i actually got lucky! coming home from suffolk on wednesday in the work truck (it's a chevy, go figure), i started seeing "high rise bridge opening at 2:30" signs lit up along the side of the road. i had 17 minutes to get across...and just as i passed the light and barricade, it turned red to stop traffic. read in paper the next day the dang thing had a power failure and got stuck open for THREE HOURS!!!
was 70* here...let's have an entire winter like this shall we??
