Dress warm, its cold as **** out there. Did you get some snow out there? I can't believe it but mandan actually cleared all the drifts around here. Last night there was some nice ones.
I know it leaked a lot of fluid out of the front axle seal on the diff. Could low fluid keep it from turning the wheels or cause this issue even though its all locking like it should?
Tried out my tires a bit this weekend. Well they suck on the ice, but do good if there is something to "dig" in. I climbed a hill on a section line, and at the top, there was a pile of snow. Had to dive half the pickup through it, when I got to the top, there was rub marks about 6-8 inches below the windows on the passenger side. So, they did alright.
And my "eliminator" electronics didn't keep my CEL from coming on. Might have to change my ECU pinout and jam a Mustang ECU in there....
heading home for Thanksgiving, 1806 wasn't plowed, and I had 1-2 feet of snow with bumper height drifts for over 50 miles. The KM2s surprised me, and I had no issues.
I wish I could have drove on roads like that! Those are fun. Did that in the work truck last year. Needless to say, its a bit nerve racking doing it in a two wheel drive dually. Lol
Dang I wish I could find snow that deep. I wanted to try the 4wd out to see if it works so I ventured out to the desert this weekend. Not to bad out there as of now, but I was surprised when a few deep ruts broke open again and I actually found some nasty mud. lol Kinda lucky I make it out.
Hope everyone had a good turkey day! I know I did.
I'm hoping to make it to the desert yet this year, I got the wheeler back in the garage, and I've started on the rear axle swap, so who knows when that will be done. Lol.
Nice! I sure hope you can too. I can't believe I haven't seen that beast in action yet. If you need a hand don't hesitate to call, I'm always willing to run out, even if its something small. You know how its always them small things that hold you back, when its usually as simple as having an extra hand around to get it done.
Pretty sweet its finally snowing. I just wish we would get nailed with a good blizzard soon.
lol. Come on Dave, I can't be the only one with this problem. If only we didn't have that damn time change, at least I could stay up till ten before all that took place.
