im off to fix aldens truck, this time with the correct o-ring and giving the sealant ample time to cure before driving. the water pump is badly pitted where the oring seals, so some supplemental permatex #2 is going in with the o-ring
im going to buy one. then smash it, and **** on the pieces.
did i say that out loud?
i dont know if aldens truck will hold coolant, we have it plugged in trying to "bake" the sealant and he will try it out tomorrow. the sealing surface of the water pump is so badly pitted there is a big gap in some spots, a little too big even for the permatex to fix. if it leaks after this attempt we will need to replace the water pump, which sucks because it really hasnt failed, and i now the fan isnt coming off easy.
i am going to try to ride my bike with my bum clutch finger. hopefully aldens truck is holding coolant, im going to check it out now. then maybe some more work on the quad? i usually end up staring at all of the parts wondering where to start.
