TN November Chat Thread
~I figured out where I'm going to be and what I'm going to be doing for most of the rest of this year, and about all of next year.
I went on a fishing "WALKABOUT" today trying to find a way to get right down to the mouth of the Hatchie river where it dumps into the big muddy (which isn't far from my house). It didn't look good (by the way - the big river is real low right now if anyone was wondering).
I also swung by Glenn Springs Lake, which is even closer to my place. I hung out there for a couple of hours talking to people and in a nutshell there is such a thing as an ANNUAL LAKE PERMIT, which costs forty bucks and allows the holder to fish AT ANY TWRA LAKE OR RESERVOIR as many days out of the year as you want - as opposed to paying a five dollar a day lake use permit fee.
Now - I'M RETIRED! I can go fish 24/7 365 if I want to....
The math is simple, 28 bucks for a lisence and another forty for use fees; if I paid on a daily basis in 8 days I'd have paid out as much as the annual fee...
"I can do math - that's why I don't buy lotto tickets"
So I expect from now on you can find me at Glenn Springs every free day I have when the weather ain't pure misery and the water isn't iced over!
It's about two miles from home.
The fella who runs the bait and tackle shop at the lake is also an old veteran (NAVAL AIR, same as me) We got along like thick and thin!

Good morning (almost afternoon) Guys.
I hope you all had a good weekend and got your fill of candy????
We had a good weekend. Went camping in Cherokee, NC. Lots of kids and lots of candy. Great time.
That is why I wasn't here late last week. Sorry.
Greywolf, thanks for starting this thread and good luck with them fishes.

Got a rebuilt master cylinder on my 73, I gotta bleed the brakes, finished it at dark, didn't want to get into more, but couldn't resist a drive, so I took it to Walmart. I have to say that I enjoy workin on it, just not crazy about runnin out of money, budget for my window removal and gull has been blown, back to saving, but I can drive it. That's how October has ended, and November began.
