Hey guys,
I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the engine and transmission for my '64 F100. The 351w is at the machine shop waiting it turn and in the meantime I would like to know a bit more about the tranny. From what I've seen online its a pretty straight forward job, but I would like to know if there are any tips, tricks, or other advice you can offer, as this is my first go at rebuilding a transmission. Thanks.
How about the internal parts? Should I spring for a complete rebuild, and if so what "upgrades" would you recommend, shift kit? valve body? This trans shifed fine before I pulled it, It got leaky one day and slipped a little and I shut it down, topped it with ATF and nursed it home about 10 miles. As long as I kept it full it was ok.
I would post some pictures but someone told me I'm not "allowed" to until I reach 25 posts.

I can post pics easily if you guys would like to see what I'm working with. In another thread someone told me I'm "not allowed" to post pics I this forum until I have 25 posts. I have the pics posted in my "build thread" over on...
