axle code c7x
I am trying to source a dana 60 or dana 70 rear axle with a 4.10 or 4.11 axle ratio.
I have 2 trucks, 1 is a 79 2wd crew cab short bed. it has an axle code of c7x.
the other truck is a 77 2wd long bed, camper special truck. all factory with a 390 in it. not sure of axle tag on this one.
what is my best bet to find a dana 60 with a 4.10 or 4.11 ratio.

C7X: C7 = Dana 60 / 3.54-1 / LIMITED SLIP / 5,300 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
X = Tilt wheel? X isn't listed in any of my parts catalogs....for anything.
There are EIGHT different codes for a tilt wheel, none are X.
If the AXLE code begins with a letter = Limited Slip. With a number, no Limited Slip.

AMC 20 rear end
I have just bought a 1975 F100, the problem is the ford 9 inch rear end is gone, but there is an Jeep AMC 20 CJ6 rear axle bolted to the leaf springs, but this axle is not wide enough it measures 58.5 inchs WMS to WMS but i think it needs to be approx 4 inches wider.
Can I make up the difference using 1.5 inch wheel spacers and wider offset rims or should I try and source a wider axle.
I'm in the UK and ford 9 inch axles are rare, most on the back of drag cars.
Thanks in advance
