I had a tranny prob (the free wheelin thing) so I went back to were I bought the rig to have them work on it, but instead they sold me a different truck. Went from a 01 to a 02 PSD AT 3.73s 4x4 CC lariat pretty much the same truck with 11k insted of 33k.I didnt do any perf mods on the old one but plan to on this one. It already has a 4" lift with 315 75s bfg kos on 16x10 alloys. I was wondering about the air filter set up ie (kn vs tymar vs airaid). exhaust what size if at all. Chip any buddy got the best O yeah thay all do .

First you'll want to get gauges to monitor what is going on with the motor and tranny.

Then intake ( most popular are AFE and Tymar) and then a 4" exhaust. ( I have a B&B Performance exhaust and I love it. SS polished finish and a deep rumble)

Then a chip, I hear good things from the guys who bought Diablo chip on this site.
Or, a programmer Diablo or SCMT, you can buy both here I think.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Here is a pic of my Isspro Gauges: Trans Temp., Boost, and Pyro. Be sure to get a trans gauge that starts at 100* not 140*

I agree with DC special - i would do gauges - new airfilter setup - then exhaust and a chip of some sort.........

I think I have read that a 3.5" is good for most people up to a cetain HP.

If you plan to run bigger injectors, upgraded turbo, NOS, propane, etc.. then a 4" downpipe is good for all that power.

I have heard people with a 4"downpipe report feeling the loss of a little low end power.
But, have yet to hear of any dyno runs that show a loss of power.

I have a 3.5" downpipe and it works fine for me (I only have intake, exhaust and gauges.)

Hope this helps.
