Ok I just purchased a Diablo Delta Chip and installed it. When I turn the ignition on the wait to start light never comes on when the chip is in either of the performance settings. When it is in the off position the truck starts just fine. The LED light on the switch comes on. I cleaned the the connectors on the ECU very good. I am lost.
Please give me some advise.
Is their a trick that I am not aware of?
I have installed chips before and never run across this before go figure only when I do modification to my truck does somthing not work.
My theory was if the light on the switch is coming on the chip is making a good conection.
I'm not an expert on the Diablo Delta, but I do have one, and was there when it was installed. If you're lucky, Ken the webmaster, will respond to this, because he is an expert. I'd guess that you're not making good contact with the chip and the pcm. Is it safe to assume that you've cleaned the contacts on the pcm thoroughly?
Don't worry, Diablo diesel chips are extremely trouble free and this can usually be traced to a couple of things.
First, to test the switch: take out the switch. This makes the chip default to the center position. Try starting it.
If that doesn't work, try some acetone or nail polish remover on the contacts. The overwelming majority of the time a diesel chip gives you this type of problem its one of two things: dealer reflash or contacts. Whats your invoice number so I can look up the code?
Don't worry, we'll soon have you grinning from the power. :-)
