One other thought: the temperature control ****? Mine went bad and the symptoms were temperature fluctuations. If you look under my user name and threads that I started, one of them is about heat and it landed up being the ****. $30 at Ford and 10 minutes of work.

Thanks I'll look at also. Just picked up yhe stat just incase. Either way hoping to fix it without having to pull the dash

All these trucks must be having aging isssues.

I have a 99EB doing exactly the same thing. Being EB I have the climate control.
This summer I did the blend door repair thru the glove box. There no way the door broke. It's solid stainless steel. The AC works like a raped ape. But thats asking the blend door to be closed. Whats makes the door open with the climate control?
