I just bought a 2000 Ex today and drove it from Virginia to NY. It is a V10 and drives well. I do though, need help in two areas.
The previous owner put in dual exhuasts and the truck is sooooo loud. Not having much mechanical knowledge (except for changing oil and such), what do I need to quite this truck down?
Also, there are 22" wheels installed. By going back to the 16" factories, will I get better handling and traction?
Thanks in advance.
I don't know on the v10's but the supercharged 5.4's like the Magnaflow exhaust. to make your truck quiter you'll need a different muffler.
I would think the 22's would handle better but traction would depend on the tire. I would also bet on the 22 to have better traction because it is probably a wider tire?
Sorry I am not much help yet, we just put a deposit down on an 04 Ex 6.0. We pick it up next Saturday.
