Negative. 4300k would be closest to sunlight. 5000k is pure white. 6000k is white with hint of blue. I have installed 3 6000k setups. I have 8000k but will be running 5000k in my projectors.
I have a 95 f150. I put 8000K hids in about a year ago. The kit was basically plug and play, it uses one of the plugs from the stock headlight, then it needs to be connected to the battery, and grounded twice. The only problem I have experienced is my high beams don't work, haven't since I installed them. Does anyone know how to fix that?? (No high beams or flash-to-pass)
I dont have any on my truck but I had them on my old ranger pickup and I loved them. Got them from ddmtunning for a great price. I was going to do a set on this truck but decided to do a harness upgrade. Anyway I did 8000k but could have went with the 6000K and be fine

It sounds like they sent you a harness for 9004 lamps. I put a harness and high wattage halogens in my fathers 01 SD and I had the same problem.
I depinned the sockets and wired them for 9007 and they were good to go.
