dose anyone now where I can find a part number for the spare tire mouning parts. I have no idea where to ever start looking.

Good Luck, I found one on ebay after about a year of searching. The old timers took the spare out from under the truck, threw it in the bed and desposed of the "useless" parts. I have a '50 M47 that just wouldn't be complete with out it, recently found a ratchet/screw jack correct for the year on ebay. They are out there, but few and far between! Good Luck on you quest.
