Freshening Up
My VIN is:
X25HKY44607
Super Cab F-250 2WD
With a 351m
Born In Kansas City, MO
She has a 135in wheel base
A manual Warner T-18-4 speed transmission
With a 3.73 rear axle
This is what she looked like when I picked her up from auction

When I got her home I pulled the ignition switch and had a key made and was shocked that when I turned the key she rumbled to a start after sitting for who knows how long and due to the fact that she was abandoned. She ran excellent and the transmission was strong.
After some thought, I decided I was gonna switch the body panels from my parts 77 F-150 Supercab over to the F-250 to have the better body on the heavier duty chassis. Additionally, I wanted to freshen up the interior because it was just nasty. I replaced the front and back floor panels, put new carpet in, swapped the front bench from my parts truck and found the rear bench at the junk yard for $50 which I thought was a good price. I got the carpet from JC Whitney and was actually very impressed with the quality and the fit. These are some pics of how she sits now:

I'm sure you noticed some of the awesome modifications the PO made to the truck including punching a hole through the roof of the cab to install the police spot light
and the unique Cobra shifter LOL. I do have a couple questions in regards to the truck. The original front fenders read that this was a camper special. What differentiates this from any other F-250 Super Cab?
Does anyone know where you can buy seat covers for the front split bench seats or would it just be better to buy new upholstery to re-do the seat?? All of the seat covers Ive seen are for a standard bench adn wont allow the seats to push forward.
So my plans were to keep the truck as original as possible and to keep the two tone tan and brown paint, but now I'm having second thoughts and am becoming partial to black with the chrome trim...I just think it looks soooo good and lets face it the spot light would look dead sexy against a shiny black finish...LOL Anyways, over the next year I plan on taking all of the trim off stripping and cleaning it up, pulling dents, and fixing the rust above the wheel wells. Eventually, getting to the new paint whenever the funds become available.
Lastly, I wanna thank everyone here that has helped me to learn more about these trucks. The info is very much appreciated!!
